The URL mapping portlet allows you to create, modify, and
delete contexts, and to map contexts to portal pages. Once you have
added contexts, the URL mapping portlet displays them in the tables.
Each context has its own table that lists the contexts that are immediately
under that context in the hierarchy.
To view the contexts of a context, click the name of that
context in the table. The URL mapping portlet displays the table that
lists the contexts of the selected context. It also displays the hierarchy
path of contexts above the table and its title.
To add a new
context, click the New context button shown
above the appropriate table. Then proceed as described in Adding a
new context.
The tables can have the following
columns, depending on the pages to which you have access:
- Context Label
- This is the first column of the context tables.
- Mapped to
- If the context has been mapped to the URL of a portal page, this
column shows the title of that page.
- Icon column
- This column can show some or all of the following icons, depending
on the tasks that you have permission to perform.
Note: If the Context
label has no associated tasks, the icon column is blank.
- Edit mapping
- Click this icon to map a context to the URL of a portal page, or to modify
the mapping.
- Edit labels
- Click this icon to edit the label of a context or add new labels.
- Delete icons
- The portlet shows separate Delete icons for deleting contexts or mappings.
Hover the mouse over the icon to determine the purpose of each icon. Click
the appropriate icon to delete a context or a mapping from the table and the
hierarchy:
- Delete mapping
- If a context has a mapping, this icon is displayed in the row for that
context. Click this icon to delete the mapping for that context.
- Delete context
- Click this icon to delete the context from the table and the hierarchy.
